Sometimes the best activities are the least complicated! The early science skills that infants develop include understanding simple cause and effect. You’ll be amazed how long a child can be entertained by something as simple as this do-it-yourself pull-along toy.
  1. Find several small toys or objects that your child can easily pull. Ask your child to choose one.

  1. Give your child the piece of yarn and ask them what will happen when they tug on the string. When your child pulls on the yarn and the toy moves, explain to your child what happened. For example, “What happened? You pulled on the yarn and then the toy moved!”
