In The Snowman by Raymond Briggs, a young boy builds a snowman that comes to life and takes him on an adventure. While you are busy cooking dinner or running errands, take turns retelling the story by describing the snowman you would build and what would happen if your snowman friend came to life. For variety, stop part way through your story and have your child complete the tale. You can also encourage your child to draw their snowperson and to dictate their adventure as you write it down.
