It is simple to make attractive bookmarks! Cut a 12 inch length of ribbon. Sandwich the ends of the ribbon between buttons and secure them with glue. You can use matching buttons or get more creative with different styles, sizes and colors. They make great gifts all year long, since everyone can use a bookmark. While you are doing this activity with your child, remember to use open ended questions. You can also talk about sizes, shapes and colors, or sort the buttons according to these categories.
