Bed Wetting

My 10 year old still wets the bed. We have made it to where he can't have anything to drink after 7, he uses the restroom before bed and we leave lights on so he will not be scared to of the dark. He tells me that he sleeps hard and does not realize that he wets the bed till he wakes up in the morning. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Make sure you have mentioned this to your pediatrician. It's certainly possible that there is a physical reason why your 10-year old is still having troubles. Besides, pediatricians are great sources of information on child development questions.
Staying dry through the night - Date 2/20/2009
How about if you try a stay dry surprise box? Come up with a cool, 10 year-old kind of name for it instead of just stay box. You can decorate a shoebox together and then you fill it with little toys, treats, certificates, etc. If he stays dry through the night, he could select one prize. Maybe if he stays dry for a week/month there could be a bigger reward. It can be a great motivator if there is not any underlying physical problem.
