Let your infant experience different textures by putting her down on a quilt made of a variety of material. Select a variety of material squares; corduroy, wool, fleece, flannel, cotton, polyester, and satin. Sew the pieces together either by hand or sewing machine. Place the quilt on the floor and let your baby explore. As the baby grows talk to him about the different textures; soft, coarse, etc.
