Weaning a Baby Takes Time
Choose small objects the baby likes (favorite toys, rattle, teething ring, lollypop, etc. Show the item to the baby, and then hide it in your pocket as the baby is watching. Ask the baby, “Where is the rattle?” Let the baby search in your pockets to find it. This is a wonderful activity to help babies with language skills, social skills and the concept of items existing when they are out of the baby’s sight.
