Activity: Jean Pocket Totes

    • Old jeans (you can find them at garage sales, second hand stores)
    • Fabric glue
    • Ribbons and string
    • Glitter and rhinestones
    • Fabric Markers

This is a fun activity for any child's birthday party.  Cut out the back pockets out of old pairs of jeans.  Make sure you leave the back and the front of the pocket intact. You are going to make a purse or a carrying bag out of the pockets. 

Let the children decorate the outside of the pocket (write their name, decorate with glitter, glue rhinestones to it, etc). Glue the ribbon to the pocket to make strap or short handle (whatever the child prefers).
