With fall approaching this is a great activity to help your preschoolers learn about germs and the importance of hand washing. Put lotion on your hands (rub the lotion in your hands) and sprinkle some glitter on your hands. The lotion will stick to your hands. Talk about germs and how they can make us sick. With the glittery hands pick up toys, objects, touch chairs, door handles, etc. to demonstrate how germs get transferred from our hands to everything we touch. Then wash your hands and show the children how washing your hands kill the germs. Now let the children try this activity.
