I usually have the cone party hats left over after a birthday party and instead of throwing them away, I recycle them. Let your child use the hats to make a flower vase. Turn the hat upside down and fill it with homemade bouquet of colorful flowers (or silk flowers). Decorate the cones with buttons, stars or anything of your choice (let your creativity go to work). You can use them as hanging baskets or donate them to the nursing homes or hospitals.
